School Fees (2025-2026)

School Fees:

 

These following figures are based on the 2025-2026 school year. STEW fees are determined by the Suzuki Talent Education of Waterloo membership at the annual budget meeting. Suzuki Talent Education of Waterloo is a charitable not for profit organization.

 

School fees are invoiced monthly as equalized payments from September 1st through May 1st each year. Special arrangements can be made for students who wish to have a bulk payment plan.

 

Registration fee: $70 per student or $105 per family

 

Group Class fee:  $620 for students book 1-4 and $675 for students book 5+. This includes primary group and Supplementary/Enrichment class. 13 primary group classes per year, 13 Supplementary/Enrichment class (Musical Movement (clapping class), Rhythmic Reading, Orchestra Prep, and our ensemble program), optional participation in local performances, annual registration at our student workshop, 1 solo recital, 2 group concerts, and 1 play-in.​

 

Pre-Pre Twinkle: Each term has 12 classes and participation in our opening play-in, yuletide showcase and spring concert. For returning students who already have class materials it is $200 per term and for new students it is $245 and includes class CD and dowel bow.

SECE: Each term has 10 classes. For returning students who already have class materials it is $190 per term and for new students it is $215 and includes class CD.

 

Music Theory Class: Theory is offered in the summer as a group class or through the year as private lessons. Please inquire about cost and lesson availability. Private theory lessons also available to prepare for RCM examinations.

 

Private Lessons:

 

Private lessons are now invoiced monthly as equalized payments from September 1st through May 1st each year with the school fees and group classes. Private lessons must be taken in conjunction with group class if studying with a teacher at S.T.E.W.

 

Fees for individual lessons in the 2025-2026 school year is $35 per 30 minutes, $52.50/45 minutes or $70/hour. The individual teachers teach approximately 30-34 lessons per year between September and June.
